I finally figured out why Ella didn't finish her bagel (taking after me, finally?) and was hiding in the corner this morning: hidden candy stash.

We spend so much time saying no and making excuses; whether it's not letting Luke do something, or not visiting my sister, for two examples. Then we complain we never see one another or we seem angry.

I'm just tired of it all. As we get older, it really is true, we forget tradition, in order to create new ones, and think a one year hiatus is just that. I guess another tradition pooped on, oh well.
