Finally, a station I recognize: Babylon. A great weekend in Montauk, tinged with sadness and loss, and now almost back to the real world.

Lots of stops between The Hamtons and Babylon, but flying along now. Might change when we get back to civilization in Babylon.

Over an hour on the train and now finished in the Hamptons.

The sun is up, at least it's light out, as we pass a vineyard between Bridge and Southhampton.

Pulling into East Hampton. Running a couple minutes late. Just had my ticket checked, $14 to extend the ride.

Slow and fast, no wonder it takes twenty minutes to get to Amagansett.

5:40AM. Pulling out of Montauk. Only a minute late. Great view ahead. Only 3 hours until Manhattan.

5:30AM. Thanks to dad for the ride to the Montauk train station. Could have walked it, but lake at end of driveway, and now pouring rain.

I forgot how much rougher the ride is from Wantagh is versus Hicksville. I cant decide if The Times crossword looks like Luke did it or an eighty year old.

I could not tell you the last time I slept for 10 hours. (Plus, the short nap during movie night, Bambi, with the kids.)

I must compliment myself, again, on this #homebrew cream ale. Bringing a long week of work to an end; refreshing and very nicely carbonated.

Walking down 8th Ave. to work, I felt like the Old Navy posterboy: shirt (although probably from Target), shorts and flipflops.

Good time last night at the wedding. Yes, I remember it all. I just wish my phone hadn't died, so I could have kept the Twitter banter going.
